Our Careers Programme
Our careers programme is an integral part of our whole school curriculum. We invest significant time in this provision and are proud of the opportunities our students have to learn about next steps and engage with local employers and training providers. The success of our careers programme is highlighted in our destination data which is consistently above national averages.
The world of work is constantly changing and the career landscape is completely different to what it was when many of us were at school. We know how important it is for young people to be given opportunities to consider their future. Our careers programme is therefore an integral part of our whole school curriculum, built into our LIFE curriculum, woven into lessons and through enrichment activities. We invest significant time in this provision and are proud of the opportunities our students have to learn about the world of work, and the education and career pathways that are available to them.
We have our own Careers Advisor in school who works closely with staff, students and parents in order to ensure that each child has a bespoke programme of activities that are tailored to their needs.
We work closely with a range of other education and training providers who offer technical education qualifications or apprenticeships to keep students fully informed of their options. Students have presentations about different local colleges and are able to assess the provision for academic and vocational courses in the area. All of our staff are happy to talk to students about their career options and choices, and are trained to use UNIFROG so that they can support students in their decision making.
Whilst lots of our careers provision happens in school, we are also proud to say that we organise trips to local further education colleges, taster events, application workshops and also take every opportunity to point students in the direction of other careers events happening in the local areas.
Unifrog Parent Guide
All students in school have a UNIFROG login. UNIFROG is a careers programme that students can use either in or out of school to support them with their decision making right through from year 7 to year 13. The more you put in, the more you get out, and we love hearing about students who have been exploring UNIFROG alongside their parents and carers in their own time.

Parent feedback
Thank you for taking the time to complete this form. Any feedback you can provide will be taken into consideration when we are planning future activities and our whole school careers provision.
