Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium Statement
At Stokesley School, we are committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of background or financial circumstance, has the opportunity to succeed and thrive. The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support students who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), have been eligible in the past six years (Ever 6), are in care, or have parents in the armed forces.
Our Vision
We use Pupil Premium funding to help close the attainment gap between disadvantaged students and their peers. Our approach is rooted in high expectations, inclusive teaching, and targeted support to ensure all students can achieve their full potential.
How We Use the Funding
Funding is allocated to a range of strategies and interventions, including:
- High-quality teaching and targeted academic support
- Literacy and numeracy interventions
- Access to enrichment opportunities, including trips and extracurricular activities
- Support for wellbeing, attendance, and engagement
- Careers guidance and post-16 transition support
- Provision of resources such as revision materials, technology, and uniform
Monitoring and Impact
We rigorously monitor the progress of all students, including those eligible for Pupil Premium, and evaluate the impact of our interventions regularly. This ensures that funding is used effectively and that support is tailored to meet individual needs.
Working in Partnership
We believe that strong relationships with families are key to student success. We work closely with parents and carers to understand each student’s needs and to provide the right support at the right time.
