Stokesley School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association 

 

At the heart of our school community is a dynamic and dedicated group of parents, carers, and friends who make up our PTFA. We work closely with the school to enrich the educational experience of every student, supporting both everyday needs and exciting new initiatives. 

From running popular second-hand uniform sales to helping organise and support school events, our PTFA is always busy behind the scenes. We also collaborate with the local community to raise funds for projects that directly benefit our students - whether it's new equipment, learning resources, or improvements to school facilities. 

We’re passionate about making a difference and believe that when families and schools work together, amazing things can happen. Whether you can spare a little time or a lot, we’re always on the lookout for new members to join our friendly team. Come along, share your ideas, and help us continue to make our school the best it can be! 

This year, we’ve been able to fund some really exciting initiatives in school, giving staff the opportunity to start things up for our students that the constraints of the school-budget won’t allow! Some examples can be seen below: 

  • Funding for the Lego Vex championships 

  • Funding for some Stop Animation software 

  • Cameras and filming equipment for our growing media department 

  • Play equipment for the field 

  • An i-pad for the drama department to support with filming 

  • Lego sets for lego theraphy 

  • A contribution to the netball kits for the National Finals 

  • Funding for a visiting author 

  • Microscopes for KS3 science 

  • Jewellery making equipment 

  • A media centre for MFL 

  • A whole-school subscription to The Day Newspaper
